We are proud to announce the official award of two Industrial PhD grants to BFlow. The award was formalized at an event held at the Cidade da Cultura de Galicia on Wednesday, January 21. This milestone reinforces our commitment to applied research, talent development, and technological innovation in biomedicine.

We celebrate the granting of these funds by GAIN and the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training, aimed at the development of two high-impact industrial doctoral projects.

The grants have been awarded to:
Patricia Hermida Sestayo, with the project “Intelligent microfluidics for the isolation of extracellular vesicles”.
Rocío Cordeiro Rey, with the project “Diabetic retinopathy and cognitive impairment: organ-on-a-chip modeling”.

Both doctoral projects address relevant biomedical challenges through the development of advanced microfluidic technologies and human-relevant in vitro models, aligned with our vision of translating scientific excellence into real-world solutions.

We hope this marks the beginning of a promising career in the new year
