Confluent design chip allows to stablish a linear flow interphase interaction. This system use the linear flow in microfluidic devices to stablish a interaction in a confluent channel to purify mixtured solutions (microextraction) or to perform controled reactions (microreactor). The separation of mixed solutions is based in characteristics such as Hydrophobicity or differential solubility.
Characteristics and content
- Chip made of glass (75 mm x 25 mm x 1 mm) bound to PDMS (50 mm x 25 mm x 4 mm).
- The chip has two inlets and two outlets with a confluent channel in the middle.
- The channels have semicircular section with 200 µm width.
